Stayed at a charming 17th-century coaching inn with a fascinating history and delicious food. Perfect for outdoor lovers with plenty of leisure activities nearby.

Oh, how I loved being surprised with the not-so-friendly staff who made me feel unwelcome. Such a treat!

I had a fantastic stay at a charming historical pub in a lovely village outside of Peterborough. The hotel had excellent heating, updated but in-character rooms, and good soundproofing. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a well-sized bathroom. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service throughout my stay. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and the breakfast included high-quality food. The hotel is conveniently located with easy access to transportation and parking facilities.

    Nothing, no complaints at all.

The value for money at Slater was excellent, with comfortable and character-filled rooms. The location was perfect for my trip, and the staff were welcoming and friendly, ensuring a pleasant stay.

The breakfast selection could have been improved with the addition of brown sauce and offering black pudding as part of the morning menu.

The room was spacious and absolutely stunning, with beautiful decor and furniture. I was amazed by how well soundproofed it was, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The air conditioning was a fantastic addition, along with the generously sized bathroom that was spotlessly clean. The bath products provided were top-notch, adding a luxurious touch to my stay. I was pleasantly surprised to find that breakfast was included, and the high quality of the food was a delightful bonus. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure a fantastic experience. The comfortable bed made for a restful night, and the location near the A1 saved me so much time on my journey. It was great to see that the pub still exuded its charm and warm atmosphere, even after all these years. This place is definitely worth an overnight stopover if you're traveling along the A1. Can't wait to go back in July! The free Wi-Fi, convenient car park, and flat-screen TV in the room were also appreciated.

Great Christmas Stay. We had a wonderful Christmas stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean and spacious, with all the necessary amenities. One of the highlights was the delicious Christmas dinner they served, which exceeded our expectations. The location was also ideal, close to the A1 and easy to find. it was a fantastic experience that made our Christmas truly special.

Limited Parking Space. The only downside we experienced was the limited parking space at the hotel.

Slater in the village was a delightful find! The rooms were beautifully decorated, complete with en-suite bathrooms and excellent shower facilities. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The food at the pub was outstanding, with a delicious variety of home-cooked meals to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the best steak and ale pie I've had in a while, and the perfectly cooked vegetables. My partner loved his fish and chips too. The pub had a cozy atmosphere, with a real fire and a great selection of wines and spirits. a lovely experience at Slater!

There was nothing I didn't like about my stay at Slater. 👍

The room I stayed in had a comfortable king size bed, which provided a great night's sleep after a long day of travel. the room was well-maintained and clean, making my stay pleasant overall.

One minor drawback during my stay was the slight ticking noise from the heating system throughout the night. Although it didn't disrupt my sleep significantly, it was noticeable and could potentially be bothersome to light sleepers.
